Rammy’s photography generally emphasizes colourful and energetic street moments, tending to look outward at people and situations he comes across. If photographs could speak, we may be able to hear the voices of his subjects. In this exhibition, his photos show a different side: the voices are now quiet. Here, Rammy is looking inward to explore the emptiness and loneliness in his subconscious as they break through to the surface. While maintaining his colourful style, this shift in perspective is illustrated with calm visuals, providing a meaningful contrast to his more usual street photographs.
About Artist
Rammy is a Bangkok-based photographer with a passion for learning and exploring. He often credits photography for being his lifeline, allowing him to find meaning as well as a sense of purpose. In 2016, his photobook “Platform 10”, a project shot on a single platform at the Bangkok Central Train Station, was published by Peanut Press, a publishing house in New York City. In the last year Rammy also became Thailand’s Fujifilm X-Photographer.
โดยปกติงานภาพถ่ายของแรมมีจะมีสีสัน จังหวะ และพลังงานที่เปี่ยมล้น เป็นงานที่มองออกไปยังสังคมภายนอก ผู้คนมากมาย ถ้าภาพถ่ายส่งเสียงได้เราอาจได้ยินเสียงผู้คนจอแจออกมาจากงานของเขา แต่งานชิ้นนี้ต่างออกไป เหมือนกับเสียงที่เซ็งแช่เงียบดับลงกระทันหัน แรมมีมองเข้ามาภายในโพรงของความคิดของตัวเอง เขายืนอยู่กับความว่างเปล่า โดดเดี่ยว ความเงียบเหงาที่ซ่อนอยู่ดันตัวเองเอ่อล้นขึ้นมาจนสัมผัสได้ แม้จะยังคงสไตล์สีสันจัดจ้าน แต่กลับเงียบสงบ แตกต่างจากงานสตรีทที่ผ่านมาของเขาอย่างมีนัยยะสำคัญ

แรมมี่เป็นช่างภาพชาวกรุงเทพฯ ที่สนใจการเรียนรู้จากการสำรวจสิ่งต่างๆ ด้วยภาพถ่าย เขาเชื่อว่าการถ่ายภาพคือสิ่งที่หล่อเลี้ยงจิตใจ เพราะมันเป็นเครื่องมือที่ช่วยให้เขาค้นพบกับความหมายและจุดมุ่งหมายของชีวิต หนังสือภาพเล่มแรกของเขา “Platform 10” เป็นงานที่รวบรวมภาพของเขาที่ถ่ายจากชานชาลาหมายเลข 10 ของสถานีรถไฟหัวลำโพง จัดพิมพ์ในปี 2559 โดย Peanut Press สำนักพิมพ์ในเมืองนิวยอร์ก ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา และล่าสุดในปีที่ผ่านมาแรมมี่ก็ได้เข้าร่วมเป็นหนึ่งในช่างภาพ Fujifilm X-Photographer ของประเทศไทย
